It's the Swell-Time Cabaret!

Thanks to everyone who came out last night! Another kick-ass crowd, and another great evening. Mad props to talented women and men of Knock Knock Hot Spot!

Mark your calendars folks, because the next evening of The Swell-Time Cabaret is next Friday, August 7th, 2009!

This show's concept is simple: Pasties. Shtick. Blues. Music.

Featuring the fabulous talents of the women of Knock Knock Hot Spot, the Swell-Time Cabaret takes you back to a time when burlesque was burlesque; a time when the blues was the blues; a time when the beer and whiskey flowed like music to drown your sorrows away. Oh and polio. They had that back then, too.

The next installation of the Swell-Time Cabaret is blues-themed, and starts at 8:30ish on Friday, the 7th of August. The Swell-Time Cabaret is located at the Speakeasy, in the basement of the historic Green Door Tavern. One of Chicago's most historic bars, the Green Door features great drink specials to compliment their already reasonable prices, and some of the best pub grub you'll find in the city.

The Green Door is located at 678 N. Orleans, on the corner of Huron and Orleans, just north of downtown, and just a couple of blocks from the Chicago Brown Line Stop.

Hope to see you there!
