McCain adviser says terrorist attack would
boost campaign

A senior adviser to the US presidential hopeful John McCain has apologised after saying a terrorist attack on American soil would be a "big advantage" to the Republican candidate's election campaign. Charlie Black later expressed regret over his "inappropriate" comments, and McCain said he disagreed with the claim.

McCain's presidential rival Barack Obama called the remark a "complete disgrace".

Discussing national security in an interview with Fortune magazine, Black was asked about the impact that another terrorist attack on US soil might have on McCain's campaign. "Certainly it would be a big advantage to him," said Black.

He said the assassination of the former Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto in December was an "unfortunate event" but had helped McCain to win the New Hampshire primary, a state he had to win to save his candidacy."

You know, Charlie Black has got to be one of the world's biggest assholes. (No wonder he ended up helping run More-of-the-same McCain's campaign.) However, I will admit that this stunning bit of political commentary is really spot-on. A big terrorist attack WOULD be good for More-of-the-Same's campaign! It'd be a perfect way for the GOoPers to drum up a whole bunch of frightened, complacent citizens, and target Democrats with their standard "soft of everything" line. I mean, sure a big terrorist attack might be a major national, trauma killings hundreds or perhaps thousands of people.

But the bottom line is, it would be good for Team McCain - and that's what's important.

Turns out this world's-biggest-asshole type has lobbied for such wonderful luminaries as former Phillipine dictator Ferdinand Marcos, and Zairean dictator Mobutu Sese Seko. Black is also closely tied to Ahmed Chalabi, the would-be King of Iraq who helped engineer the tragistrobacle which is currently surging so beautifully to victory over there.

Yep - Black is a scumfuck through and through. I think he's found a perfect position helping run More-of-the-Same McCain's Presidential campaign.
